Pipecleaners

You guys like not MS paint right? I don't do physical things very often, but I needed some decorations so you get some lovely pipe cleaner chickens. Sorry "Fuzzy stick" chickens. It's the Walmart brand. I made the black one first, but I think the blue one looks more entertaining.

HD Backgound August 2016: Legacy of the Fallen

This is the wallpaper for August. It is sort of inspired by this picture from an older era of this site. The era of arbitrary challenges. Those were fun, but eventually they piled up and I just had no interest in working on them. Anyways this brave bird is carrying the legacy of his fallen friends and taking up their scarf.

I tried several sorts of shading and patterns but in the end felt that the flat look was nicer for this piece.

Elaborate Costume

I was thinking I haven't made enough costumed fowl lately... So i just decided to go wild. Just start throwing things on all willy nilly. He got a scarf, a spinny cap, a zipper vest. Seems like some solid stuff. Should have done some goggles... Actually... No. No no. I'm not doing a goggled variant.

Scarf Glasses

I want to start doing more videos. Maybe I'll even actually talk over them. I actually recording this being drawn. At least I meant to but I apparently used my webcam instead so I just have a nice 5 minute video of me looking vaguely at the screen. Next time I'll have a video.

On The Scene

A chicken who dramatically appears onto the scene, his scarf blowing wildly as he is backdropped by a burst of blue. He reveals the true culprit in a sudden declaration. The culprit of what you ask? The accident obviously. Of course he will show that it was anything but an accident. Yes, he's some sort of super slueth now.

Skate-Free

No skating. It's right on the sign, but that's not what it says. It says no ice skates. And this chicken didn't see any problems with that at all. So the chicken started practice to become a championship figure skater. It was a dream and even if the chicken didn't have anywhere else to practice... this dangerous frozen lake was a chance.

This is my flawless comeback! It won't cut off again.

Battle Scarf

A hard fighter who has survived dozens, if not hundreds of battles, clothed in only his lime-green scarf. His red eyes raging with blood lust. He will continue striding forward, undeterred by hardship. Those who face against him are against an unbeatable monster.

Shady Guy

What we have here is a shady-looking guy with a pink scarf. Now I was aiming for that you know shaded over look where the eyes are hidden by darkness but it didn't really work all that well in this case. The scarf on the other hand is totally awesome. I did it with a flat pattern. TV Tropes calls it Unmoving Plaid. I don't know. I like the way the effect looks. I think it makes patterned stuff more striking.

Just tossing out your basic 5-7-5 Haiku. Also that Strip-ed is just an split Striped. Poetry is half about bending words to the form you need them to be after all.

Minor in Style

This guy has all the classic signs of an arbitrarily put together pile of accessories being called style. He's got a scarf blowing in the wind behind him and his goggles are clearly off the hook. I actually rather like the way he looks but he definitely has no style. He's probably really tough though so no-one's going to tell him that his style is bad or he'll take them down.
