Pumpkin Slasher

Now we are all spattered with the blood of those who wronged the massive bird and its flock. Unfortunately that's most of us. Live a life of fear, for at any time the pumpkin slasher could appear.

That isn't a ghost. It's just some guy in a sheet. Yeah, I guess he's a few inches off the ground. Why are you making a fuss about something like that?

Developing Color – October 2021 Wallpaper

Fading in from grayscale to flat to a properly colored chicken. I thought I could fit more of these across the screen than I could so we didn't get as smooth a transition as I hoped for. Also sorry for doing the same hard drop-shadow effect for two wallpapers in a row. I like it but I don't want to let these get too samey one after the next.

Desaturated

Was there ever anything worth holding out hope for? Is there a bright shining future somewhere out there? While in a desaturated flashback it can be hard to remember that you were in a pleasant field next to a tree on a day with a clear blue sky. 

Swept Away

 The waves whelmed and waters shifted. The overly confident fowl didn't notice and was swept away. As chickens are not part of the waterfowl category it could only patiently wait for the waves to toss it back to shore.

Face Loop

Observe the bird's majestic face. Somewhere between a smug grin and a thoughtless stare. The green-blue loop behind provides a needed splash of color and contrast to the muted browns and reds.

Glance Back

The rooster looked back, pretty sure he was being followed.  With this uncertain distraction he unfortunately(?) didn't see the monster approaching on his other side.

Usually when I have a title like this it's to open some short retrospective on the site, but it's just descriptive this time.

Damaged Bot

Wandering the cyber-world the cyber-chef caught a chicken to make a cyber-soup. But as his knife cracked down on bird's neck the fowl creature's horrible secret was revealed. It wasn't a tasty rooster, but a robot!

Bird Ala GameBoy

Pixel art chickens. Endless fun. I spent a month polishing this skill then dropped it entirely without any follow up because I lost interest in it, but let's get it back in the rotation.

I just like the green "grayscale" Gameboy palette, but I should probably do something with more variety if I'm posting more pixels though. Maybe a purple grayscale or something.

Birding Pin

Today's chicken is bowling pin shaped. That makes it more powerful that a bird-shaped bird or a person-shaped bird, but not as powerful as a bird-shaped person or bird-shaped bowling-pin.

Angry

Here is the cute baby. Pay no attention to the glowing red eyes, angry eyebrows, or the gruff and mature form. Perhaps it is in fact just an angry chicken and not a cute baby.

Unfocus

Just cross your eyes and this will look like a flowing river. Or maybe that's just a nonsensical lie and this is an image with some vague blur-type effects applied to it.
