New Years

Today is New Years Eve and I hope we can all resolve to have a good year. After all I succeeded this year. I posted more on Chicken Maker, which was my new years resolution 

Dragon Quest

I'm a big fan of Dragon Quest and have been playing the latest one for the past few days. I wanted to get you all a related Chicken but the protagonist is kind of generic, so I went with my favorite one. The turban wearing hero of Dragon Quest V.

Alone Again

I had a lot of family around for the holidays, but yesterday I got to sit around all day and waste time on my computer and games. A real waste of time since I didn't even get one of these in.

Traditional Christmas End

Everyone, the end of Christmas and with it the end of the year are coming. As such we celebrate with the most traditional of Christmas traditions. Upon his Golden Star, the Christmas Fowl soars across the red sky, releasing the green light that will eventually become spring. So for the last time this year I say "Merry Christmas" to one, and to all.

Small side note but these Traditional Christmas End pictures all have the wrong year, last years is 2018, the one before that is 2017. I considered just making this 2019 and not thinking about it, but I marked it as 2018T instead. Not really important, but I thought I would let you know.

Featheriest Elf

Santa's Featheriest Elf was shocked to learn the secret that had been kept the bird's whole life. Indeed that was it. The Elf was in fact a Bird. In retrospect it seemed so obvious. The beak, the feathers, the inability to use tools and create toys.

As an aside I intended this to be from behind the elf but the pointy ears and nose are basically identical. I leave it to the viewer's discretion.

Dull Holidays

Yes, today is indeed Christmas or whatever. It's cold out so you should probably just go inside and forget about this. What? Of course this isn't a Santa outfit.

Christmas Eve

Tomorrow is Christmas day, but the weather is rather nice and the snow is melting. A white Christmas is nice  but there's nothing wrong with seeing the green grass either.

D - Alphabet of Chicken

D is the first letter is several violent words like destroy and devastate, but it is also fragile and has a softer side shown by words like destructible and daisy.

Night Cloak

Mysterious and a bit magical was my goal. I'm not sure I managed it, but it's fairly striking at least.

The crescent is a bit exaggerated. I did a normal one at first, but I decided I wanted a bit more flare. This piece is meant to be a bit flashy after all.

C - Alphabet of Chicken

C is the third letter of the alphabet, and one of the most round, along with Q, G and O. It usually makes the same sound as K, but they're good friends so they hang out in words like Duck. On that note D will be coming up soon.

Social Media

Hey everybody. I'm expanding my social media accounts associated with this site since it's been a while and I'm no longer on every platform I can name.

I'm on Pixiv now. Popular Japanese art site. It's partly in English so good enough for me. I'll figure out what content I'm loading their later. Maybe I'll drop monthly illustration albums or something. Check it out.

Also joined the infamous alt-right twitter(aka gab). They immediately caught my attention with how my pictures weren't compressed. If you have one of these go follow me I guess. Check it out.

And I joined instagram which is super main stream. Not sure why I didn't have one of these before. They immediately surprised my because they are exactly the opposite and despite being primarily for pictures they in fact immediately compress and resize things. Probably because people post their ultra-HD stuff. Check it out.

I'm planning to use YouTube more, but I feel strange drawing while I'm being recorded. I'm either quietly working on it or I'm rambling and doing a bad job. If I actually do that I guess I'll also join like... BitChute? Is DailyMotion still a site? I feel like there's like 4 or 5 random video sites. It's probably too much of a hassle

Am I missing any social media sites that people care about? I'm on Pinterest and Reddit, but those are just personal accounts rather than places I post things.

Can I justify putting anything related to this site on LinkedIn? I mean, probably not

I'm not joining snapchat. What would I even do? Snap pics of my screen?

Maybe I'll put some more stuff on NewGrounds instead of just a bad frogger clone? I hear it got a bunch of new members after that recent Tumblr fuss.

Minds looks neat. Trying to sell me on their cryptocurrency based ad service or whatever.

Going to redo the site design in the near future so I'll get the links on the sidebar figured out then.

B - Alphabet of Chicken

B is the second letter. It's like the a three on the right, with a one on the left, so it's easy to remember. I chose to use a smaller loop on the top to give the letter a bit more definition, and justify the chick on top.

A - Alphabet of Chicken

One of the first projects I had on this site was the Alphabet. I started it in 2009 and finished in 2010. Since that was rather inconsistent I decided to give it another go with my current um... skill set. This chicken alphabet will be more stylistically consistent than the last one.

Re-uploaded the video (Check out that 360p quality) for that since I need to put the old videos on my current YouTube channel.

Nice Angle

This is a 3/4 angle. It's the peek of selfie technology or something like that. Actually this looks a bit awkward without shading, but I felt like we were getting a bit monotonous.

I'm still not great at working with a touch screen  I'm fairly happy with this one though.

Chicken Joins the Battle

I've been distracted by Super Smash Brothers. I'm a big fan of these games, and it has taken a lot of my free time since Friday. So, the last game the BLANK joins the Battle meme was pretty strong so I planned to make one of those, but this game instead of being "joins the battle" it was something character relevant, so I went with that. Also the letter gimmick. Probably should have done this when it was a bit fresher, but I wasn't distracted by the game until it was out. Please enjoy.

Fire and Water

This subject had great potential in the paths of Fire and Water. By putting the subject through either regiment something good would be gotten, but the risks of doing both paid off this time. The subject is rather dangerous though.

November 2018 Wallpaper - Duality

This piece represents duality because that is a fancy word that involves two things and I have these dramatic back to back chickens in this, the first wallpaper in more than half a year.  I'm pretty happy with that swoosh.

Shining Green

Chickens do not have green eyes. Or blue ones. I know these are the colors I tend to use. They're more striking after all. Real chicken eyes are more in an amber, brown or black area though.

As a reminder for fans that don't recall me explaining this 5ish years ago Kokekokko is a Japanese onomatopoeia equivalent of cluck. A pullet is a young female chicken, or a girl.

This is just your basic chicken. Wanted to get back to my roots after being side-tracked by blue and halloween.

Yeah, I realized midway through making my chicken ghost... This is also blue.

Let us not forget the tale of America's, nay, the world's greatest side show chicken. Miraculous Mike lived 18 months without a head before choking on a bit of mucus.

That's not really a horror story, but what else am I expected to discuss with this. Normal zombies can be killed by removing the head or destroying the brain.

Reaper

Whether it was a mad killer or a real incarnation of death the bird felt the reaper's scythe against its neck.

Blue Pumpkin

And with this we will conclude the Blue Period and start Halloween. I planned to end it sooner, but I was quite enjoying it. Not enough to do a monochrome holiday though.

Fallen Blue

Even though he was gone he would never be forgotten. Truly a hero for the ages, and a fine stew to boot.

Tough Blue

A scarred traveler looks back at his companions. Soon he, like the rest, would get go his own way and they would never see each other again.

Blind Blue

A blind master of bird martial arts. Despite being unable to see or fly this is the bravest of birds.

Blue Splash

For this piece I have chosen to avoid standard width and full outlines to give the piece a more flowing look. The splash of bright blue in the background contrasts with the duller blue that makes up the foreground of the piece.

Sleeping with the Fishes

They said he 'd be sleeping with the fishes. Strangely enough he seemed to pull that off.

Weather the Storm

The gruff fowl was exhausted. The storm had stopped for the moment but the sky was still dark and the winds still howled. There was nothing to do but endure.

Blue Once More

It has been a couple years so we will now be starting a new Blue Period. During the however long everything posted here will be blue. Please enjoy. If you prefer another color please stick around. This will definitely be over by Halloween

It had been a long day for the bird who had once been an officer of the law. Walking these alleys was familiar, but after the incident things were different. These were still the bird's streets, but now he was working for the other side of the law.
